The Certified Private Equity Professional certification and training program can be completed by anyone who wants to learn more about private equity and have that knowledge then tested and verified by the Private Equity Investment Group

What is the Certified Private Equity Professional program?

The Certified Private Equity Professional program is a private equity training and certification program that may be completed by anyone 100% online in 3-6 months.  Our program is limited to just 25 professionals per quarter, and after joining you can choose from one of four examination dates per year including: January 15th, April 15th, July 15th or October 15th. The entire program including the exam is completed online with no testing centers or travel required.

Who Should Enroll?

Our program is completed by private equity professionals, consultants, students, analysts, professors, marketers and investors who want to boost their qualifications and knowledge on private equity.

3i Group PLC is a European private equity firm managing €12.6 billion in total assets. The private equity group has offices in fourteen countries and focuses investments in growth capital, infrastructure, buyouts and private equity. The businesses 3i Group invests in are primarily: Oil, Gas and Power, Technology, Media, Business Services, Healthcare, Consumer, General Industrial and Financial Services.

Story #1: The Wall Street Journal reports that the managing director at 3i Group PLC, Jonathan Russell, has condemned the European Commission's plans to "regulate small and medium-sized companies as anti-competitive and punishing." Read more...

Story #2: Coller Capital, HarbourVest Partners and DFJ Esprit — part of the global network of the Menlo Park-based VC, Draper Fisher Jurvetson — paid around $217 million (130 million pounds) for the portfolio, which includes stakes in telecom, media, healthcare and technology companies in Europe. Coller and HarbourVest were reported last April to be considering bids.

3i Group has been trying to get out of early stage investing for some time and closed its office in Menlo Park late last year. It has spent much of this year selling off assets to reduce debt. Source
